“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.” — Frederick Douglass
Reading is very important in life, especially for children who have to grow, the main reasons are listed below:
1. Reading is fundamental in today's society, because to carry out any daily activity it is necessary to know how to read, for example street signs, instructions for medicine, news and much more.
2. Reading is important because it develops the mind and the different skills related to it. the brain is a muscle that must be kept in constant training and reading is a fundamental exercise for the development of the mind. Children, learning to read, also develop their language and listening skills. Teaching children to read helps develop their language and understanding skills.
3. For children reading is very important to develop a good image of themselves, because thanks to the reading you learn to create their own opinion and learn to deal with many situations of everyday life through the experiences gained through the stories of the characters.
4. Reading is an excellent learning tool, in fact it creates interest and curiosity in children as regards the topics they discover in books.
5. Reading develops imagination, better than electronic games and TV, in fact, reading people imagine the scenes described in the books in their head, developing this fundamental skill.
In conclusion, reading for children is the best way to grow by developing fundamental skills to live well. but we must remember that even if reading is important, even having fun is it!
